Funding of 101 million Euro has been secured from the European Union in the form of a subsidy through Connecting Europe Facility-CEF. Additional funding was secured through the EAC’s participation in the shareholding structure of ETYFA, with 43 million Euro and the rest from loaning through the European Investment Bank (EIB) and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

For funding purposes, the project as a Project of Common Interest (PCI) was formerly named CyprusGas2EU.
